  • The Pantera in its day was untouchable in performance. It still is damn fast, even in stock form. However, for some owners, 300-400 horsepower simply doesn't cut it.

  • Designed for street use and for club events. This is not a pure race engine. This is not a bracket racing motor that could not reasonably provide reliability, economy and lack of stress on your ZF. 

  • PI Motorsports, Inc. has the cure and we call it the Hammer. It will flat-out clean the clocks of the competition. Smooth operation, cool running and decent fuel economy will be yours.

  • You can have peace of mind with this well tested engine. We have many satisfied customers both in the US and Europe.

    The Hammer engine just as you see below was placed on the Dyno-Motive Dynamometer. This was one of our off the shelf engines. The results showed that our engine developed 587 horsepower at 6,100 RPM and 557 foot pounds of torque at 5,100 RPM. Would this amount of horsepower and torque satisfy you?

Special optional polishing of the manifold and cylinder heads makes this engine show-ready. We have also polished the ZF transmission for our customer and the whole appearance and presentation is breath-taking.

  • This 427 Hammer is shown with optional polished intake manifold and cylinder heads. The ZF has also been polished and the engine bay smoothed and finished to match the body paint.

  • The headers are from PI Motorsports, Inc. and have been ceramic coated. The "Dog Bone" style  air-cleaner is also available from PI Motorsports, Inc.

  • This engine is equipped with our MotorPack: Water neck, thermostat, spark plugs, spark plug wires, fuel line (braided steel) and distributor with cap and rotor, 100 amp alternator, A/C bracket, oil filter and oil. $1,299.95

  • The fact that there is no core charge is unique in engine building and this permits owners to retain their 351C blocks for other purposes.

  • Here at PI Motorsports, Inc., we are quite used to seeing engines that are stronger than a rhino in heat. Some owners have the financial means to create motors that put out more than 700 horsepower. 

  • Not every Pantera pilot can even put that much power to the ground on a racing circuit much less the street. Our motor shop can satisfy the customer who demands this type of high out-put.

  • Avenger Stage 2 aluminum cylinder heads, CNC ported with stainless steel valves. Intake size: 2.08 and exhaust 1.6 with chromoly retainers.

  • Mighty Demon 850 carburetor. Timing total 35, plug gap 42.

  • Custom hydraulic roller cam and rockers, custom flat-top pistons: 4.060 bore with 10.5 to 1 compression ratio. Moly rings, stud mount 7/16ths roller rockers.

  • Stainless steel valves. 4130 X 8.550 chrome moly 5/16ths push rods, SBF main girdle, 10-quart oil pan.

  • H Beam rods 6.200 H-Beam 4340 X 2.100 X .927 rods. Full ARP bolt kit, 28 ouce balancer,
