  • Pantera showman and enthusiast George Peloquin recently passed away at an all-too-young of age. George already owned one of the best known Pantera showcars in the world, Pure Gold, which is for sale on this website, when he decided to create the ultimate GT5 concept car. Sadly, death prevented George from completing his dream. What we have offered for sale here is a work in progress, but, oh what a work! This unfinished, masterpiece is now offered for sale. We do NOT recommend this car for purchase by an enthusiast who has never restored or built a collector car. Paint and bodywork experience and powertrain knowledge/skills would be a plus. If your son-in-law owns a bodyshop or auto repair shop, this car may be for you.
  • This Pantera has many unique features and the quality of the work performed already is simply amazing. It was George's dream to crown his jewel with a real 4-cam, Ford Indy motor with 180 degree headers. The firewall and rear decklid would be transparent to allow a viewer to marvel at the rare engine. The Indy motor has already been sold, however, the theme of transparency could work well with any highly detailed engine, perhaps a Ford DOHC engine or how about a Hemi crate engine? The new owner could abandon the see-through theme altogether.
  • This Pantera features a GT5 body kit, expertly applied. The frame has been boxed, filled and smoothed. A belly pan with well laid-out louvers is in place. The engine bay has been smoothed and filled. Special jacks have been installed to raise the car off the ground, like a Formula car. To perform these modifications on any Pantera would normally exceed the cost of what this car will probably sell for. Naturally, there is significant finishing and ultimately painting to be accomplished, however, the new owner will have the freedom to select their dream color. George had considered spraying the car with the Saleen, diamond-chipped paint that changes colors whenever the viewer looks at the car from a different angle.
  • George had also begun the work of designing a modern interior for the car with a custom dashboard.
  • Fuel tanks, aluminum suspension and some parts are included as shown. The parts included are insufficient to complete the car and therefore, the next owner must be mindful that there will be significant expense to purchase and install the absent parts, most notably, the ZF transmission.
  • The engine that is included is a 351 Cleveland and is most probably from the sister ship, Pure Gold. Little is known about this engine and in our view, it would not be on a par with the rest of the theme and potential of this car.
  • The bottom line on this car is that we believe that if this car is properly completed to a high standard, it could end up being one of the most radical and unique Panteras in existence. The heavy lifting has already been done in terms of coachwork, especially when you look underneath the car. Few owners ever go through the time, trouble and expense to prepare a car this way.
  • Although there are a lot of parts missing from this car, they are still available. Part of the pleasure of the Pantera hobby is the freedom that the owner has to prepare their car to their own tastes. Here, the new owner could go with an RBT-6 transmission, cable shifted with electronic paddle-shifters. The interior could be modified with an original dashboard, array of gauges, mind-boggling sound system and more. Custom seats, roll cage and safety harnesses would complete the interior. Massive aluminum billet wheels, race shocks and heart-stopping brakes would also make the car perform as good as it looks.
  • We have built concept cars for customers who can afford the best. The subject car presents as a huge short-cut for the next owner. To take a platform car, update it to GT5 specs, create a bellypan, fill-box-smooth the chassis and make all the other modifications shown, would cost a small fortune. Although the parts have value, it is the body and coachwork that we feel are a great asset at the asking price of this unfinished dream. We hope that the next owner will share George's vision and have the capabilities to complete this phenomenal car. Please feel free to call or email us with any questions.
